Hello All,
I am getting started with implementing UMAT for soil model in ABAQUS. I am planning to use Hypoplastic clay constitutive soil model to simulate the triaxial tests.
I have been using the examples of the CD triaxial tests from the book – ‘Applied Soil Mechanics with ABAQUS Application’ and using inbuilt soil models in ABAQUS to understand the FEM modeling aspects of a triaxial test, for eg., boundary conditions to be applied, geometry of the model etc.
To start using the hypoplastic clay model, I downloaded the UMAT files from Prof. Masin from : https://soilmodels.com/download/plaxis-umat-hypoplas-zip/
I would like to get suggestions for getting started with using UMAT for Hypoplastic clay model in ABAQUS, after downloading it, like references or tutorials to implement this UMAT in ABAQUS. Also, if anyone can suggest or share ABAQUS files with this soil model implemented, then I would like to check it out.
