Abaqus with user subroutine: for example use C3D8T element: With this Temperature element water flow can be modeled
Hi Arie,
I see several times you suggested using temperature instead of water flow, but I wonder how you did it. is it possible to describe a little about the procedure or provide an example file?
Regards
I only have it for Vumat:
Wateflow using temperature.
type of calc: dynamic temperature-displacement explicit
element type: C3D8RT
output: temp and NT11 (element + nodal)
QT=(T1-T2)*A*ktemp/L*dt [J]
ΔT=Q/VRCtemp
stable time < VRCtemp/∑A*ktemp/L
example:
mesh 0.1×0.1×0.1
λ=200
R=2800
C=880
stable time < 0.1×0.1×0.1x2800x880/(4*0.1×0.1×200)/0.1)=31sec
general: stable time temp much higher than mechanical stable time
Qw= ΔhxAxkw/L*dt = (P1-P2)/9810xAxkw/L*dt [m3]
kw=m/s
ΔP=Qw/VxEwbulk
stable time < V/Ewbulk/∑A*kw/9810/L
thus ktemp=conductility=Kw/9810
thus Ctemp=specified heat= 1/Ewbulk/R
in vumat: Enerpl(new)=Enerpl(old)+plasticenergy/R
for waterflow: Enerpl(new)=Enerpl(old)+(pwnew-pwold)/Ewbulk/R
