Dear all,
I have a question about Hypoplasticity for sand model, i am having trouble to understand about how to calibrate the mr parameter ? Since no formula is provided relationg shear Stiffness G0 to mr, should the calibration be done by simulating triaxial test and reading shear stiffness in a q vs eps_s space ?

Hi Anis, yes, there is no formula for mr in sand hypoplastic model. You have to run the simulation of triaxial test, read shear modulus from the output, compare it with your experimental data and update parameters by trial and error procedure. Regards David
