I implemented a unified dynamic soil model, but PLAXIS doesn’t calculate any strains, and it prints zero
(or some times NaN amounts) into a text file. I’d like to know the way of PLAXIS calculates the strains at the first step. (initializing step not finite element process)
Can anyone help me with answering this question?

Hi
Did you follow the instructions (and the code example) from here:
https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotech-analysis/w/plaxis-soilvision-wiki/45468/plaxis-user-defined-soil-models
First step is always using the elastic stiffness matrix from IDTask3 followed by constructive stresses in IDTask2 using the strain increments.
If you have more detailed questions, please ask them here: https://apps.bentley.com/srmanager/ProductSupport
in this case, your stiffness matrix is not properly defined
i think you have some problem in IDTASK=3
