Dr. Schoesser is a Group Leader at the Institute for Tunnelling, Pipeline Construction and Construction Management at Ruhr-University Bochum and a Project Leader within Research Collaboration Centre SFB 837 funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG (German Science Foundation). She is head of the bentonite laboratory at the Tunnelling Institute and a consulting engineer working on national and international projects. Dr. Schoesser’s research focuses on the analysis, design, construction and monitoring of tunnelling, pipe jacking and microtunnelling projects. She delivers lectures and practical courses on tunnelling and pipeline construction.
