I am currently working on soil-structure interaction of ground and underground structures. My research interests include numerical modeling of soil, numerical validation of centrifuge and laboratory test, soil-structure interaction, technologies for utilization of underground space, geotechnical earthquake engineering, seismic behavior assessment of underground structures. I am working with ABAQUS software for soil modeling (i have just started working with it and am trying hard to learn it properly).
I am currently working in the following projects: 1. Development of land expansion technologies with adaptation to climate changes, 2. Research on analysis of earthquake & fault characteristics and seismic performance improvement to respond against earthquake hazards, 3. Probabilistic Seismic Performance Assessment of Structures-in-Structures Subjected to Beyond Design Earthquakes, 4. Seismic behavior investigation of twin tunnels adjacent to ground structures, 5. Pile-soil-structure interaction in highly liquefiable soils etc.
