Hi everyone, i want to carry out some transient dynamic analysis. as far as I know, dynamic steps in abaqus does not allow for pore pressure build-up and dissipation, and it is only possible to simulate fully drained/ undrained cases. opensees gives the possibility to do such analysis using the ssp brick u-p elements (zienkiewicz), but I was wondering if such elements wereavailable in abaqus ? is there any other way to do transient dynamic analysis with abaqus ?

it’s possible when you use dynamic temperature-displacement element.
temperature = porepressure
Thanks alot Arie, indeed when you look at this from this angle this may work, do you have any example inp file ? In general I am looking for an UEL equivalent to the ssp brick u-p from opensees.
You can use for example C3D8RT. Energy calculated in UMAT can be transfer to heat.
Hello Arie, can we use this approach (temp-disp) element with SANISAND umat ?
