Hi,
I am going to use the usdfld to function the density of sand changing due to confining pressure. I am not sure Abaqus will call the usdfld for every iteration or every step. I read the Abaqus user-defined field manual, but the wording is not clear. Anyone please help to answer my question. Thank you!

Usdfld is called every iteration (standard) and every time increment (explicit).
Dear Aire
Thank you for your reply.
I have two more questions. Hope you can help.
1. When we tabular the values (for example Fiction angle and dilation angle are functioning by confining pressure and volumetric strain), do we need to write any code (such as “if-else”) to let Abaqus understand the corresponding limits) ? If not, is this Abaqus will automatically interpolate the value from the FV(1) and FV(2) in the input table.
2. What is the best method to examine Abaqus results are resulting by USDFLD subroutine
Thank you in advance and look to hear from you soon.
